Scanned from issue #3 (Fall 2010) of Programma, a bilingual Israeli Art Magazine (, the above text calls for an approach to dealing with the trauma of the Holocaust and WWII by integrating the historical (the Nazis were human and Nazism a result of processes) and mythical (the Holocaust happened on 'another planet') understandings of the past. The aim is to overcome the leftist taboo of the monumental and the right's distorting monopoly over it in order to found a mythical alternative to capitalism's hyper-rationalist dictatorship, an alternative that draws from a tracing of the original monotheist impetus back to its its primordial source and thus severing it from what has come to be termed Judeo-Christianity.
